Virtual Candidate Forum to Focus on Community Priorities

City Council District 3 Candidates, Toni Duran & Stephen Whitburn

The Community Coalition of University Heights will host a virtual forum with City Council District 3 candidates, Toni Duran and Stephen Whitburn, on Tuesday, September 22 from 6 pm to 7:30 pm. Supporting Coalition members include the University Heights Community Association, University Heights Community Development Corporation, and the University Heights Historical Society.

Forum questions are based on the results of an online survey of University Heights residents conducted from July to August, and will address the following topics:

  • Homelessness

  • Affordable housing

  • Over development

  • Inappropriate development

  • Increased traffic and speeding

  • Parking

  • Sidewalk repair

  • Dog park

  • Street trees

  • Budgeting for community priorities

  • Accountability

Additional questions posed by residents along with candidate answers will be posted on the Community Coalition of University Heights website after the Forum.
