Free Webinars on Researching and Designating Your Historic Home

Historically-Designated Homes in University Heights

Founded in 1888, University Heights is one of San Diego’s oldest neighborhoods. And chances are, you live in an older home with a story to tell.  Perhaps you have wondered who built the house or who has lived there before you. You might even be interested in having your home historically-designated. But where do you start?

The University Heights Historical Society will help you get started with two free webinars in March presented by historic preservation experts Amie Hayes and Doug Mengers about how to research and submit a nomination to historically designate your home. Both webinars will be presented from 6 to 7 pm.

March 24: Historic Designation: Facts, Process, and Benefits

Amie Hayes, Senior Historic Resources Specialist, Save Our Heritage Organisation

Amie Hayes, Senior Historic Resources Specialist with Save Our Heritage Organisation, will present Historic Designation: Facts, Process, and Benefits. She holds an American Studies and Philosophy Bachelor's degree, and a Master's in Preservation Studies.
